The Guest of honor at the conclave was Shri Salman Khurshid, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Corporate Affairs & Minority Affairs along with Shri Jaipal Reddy, Than Cabinet Minister of Urban Devlopment. The awards which were given under the various categories felicitated Indian leaders and successful businesspersons of India Inc who have made an impact on the economy. The awards were decided by a distinguished panel of judges which has been formulated by picking up the think tanks from all walks of life. The 2011 annual India Leadership Awards recognize the significant accomplishments of individuals and organizations in the global pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries in the areas of science, business and corporate generosity. These awards have been designed with the broad support and unbiased contributions of industry and academic advisors, a well respected international accounting firm and the production team of Indian Affairs under the supervision of Editor-In-Chief of Indian Affairs Magazine.
Honorees are determined through a comprehensive international nomination process and winners selected by a diverse, forty-person Executive Review Board made up of members from small and large pharmaceutical organizations, academic research laboratories, law firms and consulting organizations. The 2011 awards program includes seventeen high level awards in Twenty categories.
