OPPI Member Companies Contributions in Improving Access to Healthcare in India
OPPI member companies have a long history of contributing to improved health outcomes in India by improving access to medicines, providing patient education, building health system capacity and by investing in research into new medicines for unmet needs. An analysis by the Hudson Institute identifies an estimated US $94.8 billion in pharmaceutical industry contributions to developing countries over a 12 year period from 2000 through 2011. Here are examples of some of the programs in India that companies provide to help address India’s health challenges.
