Historic 6th Annual Pharmaceutical Leadership Summit & Pharmaleaders Awards 2013 organised in mumbai on 30th December 2013 under the theme “Incredible Pharmaleaders 2013, Billion Dreams, Pushing India’s Growth Agenda received widespread attendance from the stalwarts & policy makers of the indian pharmaceutical & healthcare industry & more than 300 Pharmaleaders were in packed house where Industry’s top 30 leaders were recognised at a glittering award ceremony. in a sequel to the sixty days of the voting by the Indian masses to select the best of the best in the final five nominees in various important categories & individual nonvoting categories, Pharmaleaders ( www.pharmaleader.tv ) felicitated top performers in the healthcare industry & medical professionals in Mumbai on Friday,27th December 2013 at the historic 6th Annual Pharmaceutical Leadership Summit & Pharmaleaders Business Leadership Awards 2013 ( www.pharmaleaders2013.com ) at the hand of Mayank Gandhi, Member, National Executive of the Aam Admi Party. Organised by Pharmaleaders, Asia’s leading healthcare media in healthcare communications & a division of Network 7 Media Group, The platform witnessed more than 300 professionals of the healthcare industry. Satya Brahma, Chairman & Editor-In-Chief of Pharmaleaders in the opening address lambasted the union government for the faulty healthcare reforms & policy paralysis. In a scathing attack to the UPA regime, NPPA, Health Ministry, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Satya highlighted the series of issues neglected by the authorities & blamed the central government for not listening to the long-standing demands of the sensitive healthcare industry in DPCO logjam, FDI in Pharmaceuticals & the widening gap of the government & the vast majority of Indian masses who are deprived of the basic healthcare needs.
Mr. Piyush Rathi,Chief Marketing Officer, Advanced Enzyme Technologies Ltd, based in India received this rare recognition from the eminent jury members consisting of members from the healthcare industry, Academia & top experts constituted by the pharmaleaders board. Known for a credible award mechanism, Pharmaleaders has received rare distinction of being the pioneer in the healthcare communication.
A double graduate, Piyush first completed his Bachelors in Maths from Mumbai University and then in Finance from Michigan Tech University, USA. Subsequently he completed his MBA from SCMHRD and joined Advanced Enzymes in April 2005. Initially his biggest challenge was to break old mindsets and usher in modern best practices. A complete overhaul of the corporate brand and implementation of SAP across the organisation were amongst the key projects that he initiated & completed in the first two years as head of business development.
In 2007, Piyush took over as head of the Pharma business, the traditional stronghold of the company. He was highly successful at improving margins, cash flows & overall reach to the end users. In 2008, he setup Advanced Vital Enzymes Ltd (Advenza), which has since carved out a niche for itself as a quality manufacturer of stable enzyme formulations. In 2010, he took charge of the food processing business and its application development labs. Since then the company has acquired significant strength in application development and its business has grown many times.
Over the years, apart from Marketing, Piyush has implemented several key initiatives in the Corporate Strategy, Corporate Communications, Human Resources, Information Technology and Intellectual Property domains. Today, as Chief Marketing Officer, his key responsibility is to oversee the development of the company’s business in Europe & Asia. He also plays a significant role as an advisor to the Board on all strategic matters.
