Indian Pharma Market (IPM) clocked 8601 Crs and grew at 21.8% in Oct 2015

Companies:

  1. In the top 10, Pfizer grew at 25.4%; GSK at 23.9% & Abbott at 23.6%
  2. 22 companies crossed the growth of IPM in the top 50
  3. Bharat Serums had the highest growth of 62.7% followed by AstraZeneca at 57.0% & Wockhardt at 50.4 %v in the top 50
  4. Glenmark has the highest growth of 43.6% followed by Micro at 33.6% & Alembic at 31.4% in the 11-20 ranked
  5. Wockhardt has the highest growth at 50.4% followed by MSD 40.1% & Unichem at 26.6% in the 21-30 ranked
  6. JBCPL at 43.7% has the highest growth in the 31-40 ranked
  7. Troikaa has the highest growth at 37.0% followed by Hetero at 30.6% & Win-Medicare at 18.9% in the 41-50 ranked
  8. Boehringer grew at 69.6% followed by Centaur at 37.2% & Corona at 33.4% in the 51-60 ranked
  9. Fresenius Kabi grew at 66.8% followed by RPG by 37.9% followed by Geno at 23.6% in the 61-70 ranked Corporate
  10. MSD enters the 1000 Cr Club, Bharat Serums enters the 500 Cr Club, Hegde & Hegde in 300 Cr Club, Geno Pharma in 200 Cr Club, Veritaz in 100 Cr Club on MAT basis
  11. Ind-Swift & Shreya, which had declined for years are staging a strong revival on growth as well as 6 month trends look positive.
  12. 100 plus ranked companies like Alarsin and Vanguard are showing a strong positive upswing on monthly basis.

Indian V/S MNCs:

  • Indian cos grew at 21.4% versus 23.5% for MNCs in October 2015
  • In the top 50 in MNCs, AstraZeneca grew at 57.0%, MSD grew by 40.1% followed by & Pfizer at 25.4%

Under the Non-NLEM category Indian Companies grew at 22.6% whereas MNCs grew at 24.1%

DPCO, Non DPCO & Non-Scheduled Para 19 Market:

  • DPCO molecules market grew at 15.4% whereas the non DPCO market grew by 22.9% & Non-Sch Para 19 Market at 20.9% resulting in an overall growth of 21.8% for October 2015

NLEM & Non – NLEM Category showed unit growth at 13.4% and 11.7% respectively. The Non-Sch Para 19 Market grew at 16.0% from units perspective

  2. Respiratory Market grew at 21.8%
  3. Gastrointestinal market grew at 22.4%
  4. Pain & Analgesics market grew at 21.1%
  5. Anti-infectives grew at 22.1%
  6. Anti-diabetic market grows at 29.8%
  7. Cardiac at 21.1% in Chronic Business
  8. Derma market grew by 23.2%
  9. Urology Market at 19.5%

Regional Dynamics:

  • From regional perspective 14 regions have outgrown the IPM growth
  • Haryana market grew the highest at 34.9% followed by South AP market at 33.0% & North AP Market at 32.3%
  • No regions had negative growth in October 2015

Molecules:

  • Amoxycillin + Clavulanic Acid Market grew at 17.8% whereas Glimepiride + Metformin grows at 20.9% at No 2.
  • The markets of Paracetamol grew at 46.2%, Atorvastatin 15.5%, Probiotic Microbes at 27.6%, Cefixime 22.3%, Pantoprazole 20.6%, Montelukast + Levocetrizine at 23.7%, Glimepiride + Metformin + Pioglitazone at 24.3%, Vitamin-D at 29.5%, Hydroquinone + Mometasone + Tretinoin at -4.4%, Voglibose + Metformin + Glimepiride at 51.8%, Rosuvastatin at 28.1%, Protein Supplements at 17.7%, Azithromycin at 18.4%, Calcium Carbonate + Vit D3 market at 28.2%
